While in Nepal, we met Madalina, a woman who was volunteering at an orphanage – and who similarly fell in love with the people she met. We all had the same sense of needing to “do something” and we felt we were leaving behind something important and meaningful.
We were thrilled this week to learn that we’ve each been following similar paths since returning to our home countries. Madalina has created a by-donation fundraising website to continue to support the children at the orphanage in Kathmandu.
While in Nepal, Madalina saw to it that one of the rooms in the orphanage was converted into a study room, with a little desk for each child to do their school work. Now, even though back in Europe, she wants to ensure that these children can continue to keep a roof over their heads, food in their bellies and schooling in their daily lives.
If you have been thinking about sponsoring a child, or just putting some money to a valuable cause, we can vouch for “A Hand for House of Dreams“.
